PHILIP K. DICK – DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP?

Fascinating and nightmarish dystopia developed in a dark and apocalyptic world. This story, by Philip K. Dick, is probably the best description of such a depressing and surly atmosphere.

The author, with his usual critic and paranoid evaluation, confronts the natural existence with the technological evolution of man driven to a gloomy and deceitful situation, unable to appreciate emotions apart from the feeling of being an endangered species.

The text, growing in interest in a dynamic and interesting development, deals with creation and life extermination, marginalization of different people, opposition between nature and machine, and in the meaning of the human being in an habitat degraded by his own actions, transforming androids into beings with feelings and mankind into robots.
