“Back Roads And Abandoned Motels” es el décimo disco en estudio de The Jayhawks (“Hollywood Town Hall”, “Tomorrow The Green Grass”), la banda rock con influencias country rock, power pop y folk rock de Gary Louris que produce el álbum en Legacy Recordings.

El disco, al margen de dos temas nuevos, se nutre de colaboraciones previas de Louris con otros músicos, sea Jakob Dylan o las Dixie Chicks.
